From Durango, just take highway 160 west, past Durango West and then up a long grade.  When you crest the grade Hesperus will lie below, at the end of a gradual downward straight grade.  As you level off, look for CR 124 and The Kennebec on your right side (the north side of the highway.)
 

From Cortez, take Highway 160 East past Mesa Verde, through Mancos and then to Hesperus.  Look for CR 124 on your left (just before Hwy 140) and you'll see The Kennebec.
 

From Farmington & South, take Highway 140 North (from the West Side of Farmington), across the Colorado state line and to Hesperus.  At the junction with Highway 160, turn left onto 160 and then immediately right into The Kennebec.
